Mike graduated from Clemson University in 1988 with a degree in Management. His real estate career began in the mid-90’s at the Furman Company where he worked as a specialist in their Retail Division. Mike acquired his CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation in 2000. One year later, he founded KDS. For two decades, Mike has cultivated a reputation as a trusted guide and expert in the industry.
Mike’s relational skills enable him to work well with individuals, families and local and regional business owners and are main contributors to the success he has seen throughout his career. He focuses on managing expectations and making the process to connect parties and bridge the gaps throughout the transaction cycle smooth. Mike is a critical thinker and works hard to provide his clients and his team with exceptional service.
A proud Greenville native, Mike has lived in the Upstate his entire life. He and his wife Debbie have been married for over 25 years and have three daughters. Mike’s commitment to the Greenville community is evidenced by his time spent volunteering with charity organizations such as St. Francis Hospital Foundation Board, Grace Church and Meals on Wheels. He also currently serves on the board of JUMPSTART South Carolina. In his free time, he enjoys all that the upstate has to offer outdoors. Some of his favorite hobbies include road and mountain cycling, hunting, saltwater fishing and cheering on the Clemson Tigers with his family in Death Valley.
Mike sees so much potential in all that’s to come for Greenville in the future. His frequent travels serve as continual reminders that there is nothing like “the feeling of the wheels hitting the tarmac at GSP. Without question, our Upstate Community is more than something special, it is home. The quality of life we have coupled with the values we hold dear are second to none. That’s why I’m excited to play a role in making it an even more vibrant and attractive place to live in the coming years.”
