Before joining the team at KDS, Rickey earned his degree in Political Science at Presbyterian College and spent the next 30 years doing sales and marketing for companies in the Real Estate, Retail, Staffing, Advertising and Tobacco industries.

In 2005, Rickey joined Palmetto Auction & Realty, LLC as a project manager and eventually took ownership of the company in 2014. While internally developing the business and managing the company, Rickey also regularly served clients from the onset of the relationship all the way through to closing the deal. Additionally, a South Carolina licensed Auctioneer, he coordinated and conducted auctions.

As an advisor at KDS, Rickey uses his experience and education to give clients of all asset classes expert advice. He works together with each individual to determine the best strategy to meet their specific real estate goals in the Upstate with a specialty in the sale and purchase of vacant commercial, agricultural/recreational and residential land.

Rickey was born in Greenville but grew up in Columbia, SC. He moved back to the upstate 25 years ago and has been an active member at Grace Church for the past 15 years- serving on the Safety and Usher Teams as well as with the Outreach Ministry. He’s the proud father of a teenage daughter and during his free time, he enjoys reading, cooking and making memories with friends and family.

Rickey prides himself on being a lifelong learner and loves the collaborative atmosphere at KDS. Between his passion for real estate and love for the upstate, he sees great growth and potential ahead.
