Chris is a native of Hilton Head Island, SC and a life long SC resident. He is a Furman University graduate with a double major in Economics and Accounting and was in the first recipient class of the Hollingsworth Scholarship, awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and a strong commitment to their communities. Chris is also an avid cyclist and spent a summer while in college racing with Team USA in Belgium. Before he graduated from Furman, Chris joined one of the best cycling teams in the world – BMC Racing Team- and raced alongside his mentor George Hincapie.
Chris’ love of cycling has taken him to Europe, Asia and the Middle East, but his heart is in South Carolina and his favorite place in the world being close to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Chris’ love of the Upstate, strong math and finance skills and incredible work ethic evidenced by his training as a professional cyclist, led him to join KDS team where integrity and hard work is valued. A long-time member of Hilton Head Presbyterian Church, Chris currently attends Greenville’s growing Grace Church. He also enjoys mentoring junior racers and inspiring the youth to chase their dreams.
