Better together

Giving back to our community

The Upstate is more than a place we do business. It’s a community that’s at the heart of everything we do because it’s the place we’ve always called home. From charitable donations to organizing annual events, we remain invested in making a positive impact both personally, and professionally. It’s just one more way in which the Upstate – and every friend, neighbor, and business in it – can continue to grow together. And it’s working.

Over 15 years ago, KDS partner and Meals on Wheels Board member, Larry Webb, had a vision for a cycling event in Greenville and started the Wheels for Meals event to benefit our organization. Since then, we’ve raised more than $1,100,000 and provided over 240,000 meals to our homebound clients.

Guest Chef Program

KDS team supports Ronald McDonald House Greenville

This group loves to serve and on this special day in April, we served the families at Ronald McDonald House Greenville by participating in the RMH Guest Chef Program.

“It was such an honor” said Mark Ratchford, partner at KDS, “to have the opportunity to serve the families as they return from a long day at the hospital…..just having that opportunity to help them, even in such a small way, was a blessing.”

Larry Webb, also a partner at KDS and former Chairman of the Board at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas, said “I want the community to be aware of the need that exists at the Ronald McDonald House.”

KDS wants to encourage local businesses, groups and organizations to adopt a volunteer opportunity or make a financial contribution at our local Ronald McDonald House as part of your annual giving efforts.
